Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) pain is common in society affecting chewing, swallowing, speaking, and facial expression. The causes of TMJ pain are multifactorial with important factors originating from the neuromusculoskeletal and fascial systems between the cranium, mandible, and the cervical spine. Dr Nelson E Marquina MSc PhD DC, DC, PhD, MSc

Laser Biotech International Inc


Nelson Marquina, DC, PhD, MSc ?is the Chief Technology Officer of Laser Biotech International and a developer of photonic and bioelectromagnetic systems and treatment protocols. 

He has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Hamilton College, Master of Science degree in statistics from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and doctoral degrees in electrical & systems engineering from the University of Houston, and in chiropractic from Logan University. 

He is a former Senior Scientist at NASA/Johnson Space Center and Director of Research at Logan University. 

He conducts seminars and research presentations in laser photobiomodulation and photobiology in Japan, China, Australia, Argentina, Uruguay, Canada, and the United States. 

He has served on the faculties of the University of Houston in Systems Engineering, the University of Rhode Island as Research Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering, the University of Minnesota in Electrical Engineering, and the Virginia State University as Associate Professor of Physics.

Dr. Marquina also held positions with GE, Honeywell and Lockheed Electronics in technology development and management.
