Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) is becoming more and more common, especially as American’s weight grows larger and larger. Snoring is a common comorbidity and is not only super annoying to bed partners, but a warning sign of improper breathing.
Leaving OSA and snoring untreated can have detrimental outcomes on health and even lead to an early, sudden death. Recognizing the signs and symptoms associated with OSA and snoring is vital as primary health practitioners.
But what can we do when patients refuse to use a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machine or other more invasive remedies?
In this course, participants will learn that CPAP, oral appliances and surgery for OSA and snoring DO NOT have to be the answer. We will review tools and strategies heavily based in research that have been proven to significantly reduce or eliminate OSA and snoring.
Let’s get this country back to sleeping and breathing well!
